Nelson de la Nuez's world is one of iconic images from our collective past. Advertising, product packaging, film, television, animation and celebrities come together in images that are at once bold and contemporary, as well as charmingly retro in their appeal.
As word of his work spreads, de la Nuez is becoming a sensation with collectors and fans throughout the world. His work was recently featured in an HGTV episode of "Designer's Challenge" when screenwriter Elisa Bell-Geddes of "Little Black Book" & "Sleepover" films had the show design her master bedroom and bathroom around two of his pieces, "Just Add Milk" and "Those Were the Days".
His art is collected by many celebrities including John Travolta, Jay Leno, Burt Reynolds, Howie Mandel, Shannon Elizabeth, Jonathan Winters, Rosie O' Donnell, Carrie Fisher, Martin Short, and the late great John Ritter among others.
Nelson de la Nuez' canvases begin with a giclee print. He then adds substantial over-painting embellishments, making each canvas unique.
