Gris Grimly crept around a small Nebraska village for the first twenty-two years of his life. After being run out of town by pitchfork wielding peasants, he descended upon the west coast where he now resides in Los Angeles. When he's not digging graves or howling at the moon, he enjoys corrupting young minds.
The macabre beauty of his ghoulishly whimsical art has created a sensation in the publishing world. Books such as Crimi's "Boris and Bella" and Singer's "Creature Carnival" sell more for Grimly's illustrations than for the author's writing, and his illustrations in "Tales of Mystery and Madness" are the perfect visual accompaniment to Edgar Allen Poe's morbid and fearsome text.
With the release of "Wicked Nursery Rhymes", Grimly's imagination moved beyond illustration as he penned his twisted take on a number of classic fairy tales, complete with some of his darkest and most compelling artwork to date.
Eight more books featuring his illustrations to be released over the next three years are sure to make Grimly a household name, at least amongst those who consider spiders to be legitimate pets.
