Robert Holton is a rising star in the southern Californian pop art scene. His bold interpretations of iconic images have been greeted with tremendous enthusiasm by Canadian collectors since Animation Connection introduced his work in August 2006. His ability to create canvases with such visual impact has people clamoring for his work.
Holton's "Drizzle Art" begins with a giclee (digital print) on canvas. He adds substantial brushwork and squeeze bottle paint overlays before finishing each piece with his characteristic paint drizzles. While the central images will be repeated, each canvas is unique as the hand-work and paint drizzles are never alike. Each canvas is signed on the back by the artist.
